Romans 1:25
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Satan is called the father of lies and the reason is he not only lies to man, but to himself. In the above verse we see what the lie is that Satan was giving out. Today we know that there are those who do not believe in creation or a Creator but instead believe in evolution. They believe that we came from a “big bang” and then things just existed and we came from a worm to a monkey to a man. What are we going to be next? Shouldn’t evolution continue and man should just keep getting better? Satan’s lie was that he wanted man to worship and serve the creature, to serve creation. Have you ever heard terms as “Mother Nature” or “Mother Earth”? What this means is that we ought to be worshipping the earth instead of the one God that created the earth. You may say that is ridiculous but that is what Satan does, he is subtle and doesn’t come out and tell you his plan. Instead he lies and ultimately he is looking to receive the worship and the glory. We need to continue to read the word of truth so that we do not fall into the lie of the Devil.
